Sure enough it proved that Lucifer wasn't stuck in that rather surprising half snake form of his when the arcana in the belt was finally spent. The man had made quite the use of the time and sure the reaper hadn't complained one bit but the belt needed to be looked over in case of damage. So for the time being it was placed away into his study to be examined later on.
A couple days later while he's readying for an afternoon shift in the city, Matthieu reluctantly heads off to the study. He can't find any of his other belts and he wasn't going to run around without one so he might as well bite the bullet and use the charmed one. It shouldn't do anything unless activated.
However in the midst of tucking in his shirt and straightening his tie, the belt now around his waist decided to activate on its own. His sense of balance is thrown out of whack as his legs give out from underneath him, forcing him to smack his back into the rug. He grunts at the pain but it's livable and nothing in the end. Not much could be said about the ripping of fabric though.
Cursing underneath his breath, he pushes himself up onto his elbows before groaning at his idiocy. Sure enough where there had once been legs was now a thick emerald and black scaled tail that twitched as he stared.
