As soon as the door's open, his gaze drops down to the tile and studies it intensely. His nerves were simmering from the remaining embarrassment that had coursed through him but he manages a glance up when Lucifer settles nearby.
"I think it might be broken," he relents after a moment of quiet. "It's never done this in all of the decades and I didn't expect for it... Huh I'm supposed to be working not...this."
Matthieu leans back, worrying at his lip. "I didn't mean to flee. Just got overwhelmed really quickly."
